Brought to you by the Cumberland Adult Reading Council

The Adult Literacy Program welcomes volunteers from throughout the community. Volunteers donate their time tutoring adult learners, serving as classroom aides, working in the office, assisting at special events and serving on committees. Tutors help adult learners master reading, math and language skills, and can also work with English language learners.

Studies show that students who work one-on-one with a tutor are more likely to advance in study and will increase educational levels at a quicker pace than those who do not have the benefit of individual tutoring.

If you would like to volunteer, please call us at (931) 337-5809.
